WE WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED

THE KEY TO SUCCESS

More than two decades ago, Mike’s dad—Mr. Ed McElroy—announced that he would retire after being in the drywall business for over 40 years. At that time, Mike and Randy had a conversation about moving forward. Instead of the usual corporate dialogue that’s normally a part of a company’s succession planning, they simply asked a reciprocal question of one another “What would you want out of a corporate partnership?” To their surprise, they both wanted the same thing—to provide a work environment for themselves and their employees that didn’t dominate or leverage family and personal time. That conversation resulted in a culture of working smarter instead of harder to maintain the proper life balance(s). By their example, others in the company have done the same. The intentional preservation of Mike and Randy's culture has turned out to be the primary key to MSI`s success.

EFFICENT WITH TIME

Now days, being “green” and adopting “lean principles” is all the buzz in the construction industry, but we’ve been working smarter and more efficiently than our competition for decades. We have always prefabricated systems when it didn’t make sense to stick build. We’ve embraced new technologies, tools, and products to make our installations faster and more efficient. We innovate anywhere there’s a possibility to do better. And we investigate things when we hear that there is a new idea that might help us to do even better.

Many years ago when plumb bobs, string lines and water levels gave way to lasers, we started using lasers. Several years ago when we saw that plans and specifications would be available electronically, we bought all of our MSI leaders an iPad and trained them on how to use it. A few years ago when we heard that Robotic layout would one day replace the tape measure, we began that conversion too. Only recently have the tool manufacturers rolled out longer life batteries that now make cordless tools a feasible option, so we encourage our workers to use them now.

We are currently working on an innovative approach to building walls and ceilings which will accelerate any project while also increasing the quality of the finished product. If you’d like to know more about what we are up to, contact us
